4 Ideas to Help Your Missing Period

I heard a quote yesterday that said, “you can’t talk butterfly language to caterpillar people.” I fully understand that you may or may not be in a place where you can hear this advice and truly know how to apply it. But if you are still a caterpillar person, my hope is that this is one of the many steps that you take to hear information that you’ll one day be ready for in the future.

Change the mental process of your exercise. Make it so that any of the training you do is fun and pleasant. Your new goal should be to move your body to make yourself feel good only. If at any point of the process you aren’t feeling good or enjoying it, stop and/or adjust.

Give yourself another hour of sleep. Don’t underestimate your sleep! It’s crucial! Go to bed an hour earlier or wake up an hour later and reap the benefits! You’ll be shocked at how much better you feel.

Add back in root vegetables and carbs from noodles and bread. In a world where we feel calories are better spent on cake, ice-cream, and chocolate, most girls avoid the simple and complex carbs that come from natural, not so sugary foods. Your body likes these simple and complex carbs for energy.

When was the last time you took a moment to smell something? For years, my life was “too busy” for it. Gretchen Rubin, the author of the Happiness Project and Life in the 4 Senses said, “In my research, I was interested to learn that my happiness effects my sense of smell and vise versa…smelling an enjoyable odor can help alleviate anxiety and increase tolerance for pain.” I say this because many, many girls who are missing their period aren’t taking small moments in their day that aren’t “productive” to live in the moment. It’s only when we start to slow down that we find our health and fertility. Our bodies need to feel safe in the world to bring a baby into it. Slow down with little things like smells to make your world and soul feel calmer.

And one more thing, I do have a free quiz called “Is my current lifestyle supporting fertility?”. If you’ve tried all of these things and don’t know where to even begin changing your habits, my free quiz will pop out a result telling you if nutritional stress, physical stress, mental/emotional stress, or environmental stress is keeping you stuck. The system is set to tell you your biggest roadblock. That way you can start doing your research into one category to know what changes to make. Is a super easy way to end some of the doubts you have without rushing to another doctor’s appointment of calling your mom for the 100th time.

So good luck out there and I’ll see you soon!
